106-Year-Old Woman Beats COVID-19, Discharged From Hospital

Some extraordinary cases of elderly people recovering from COVID-19 have instilled hope among millions of who have been panic-stricken and devoid of any hope for months now.

In the past few months, many senior citizens in the US and European countries recovered from the novel coronavirus. Some of them were above the age of 100. Now, such success stories have started to emerge frequently from India as well proving that people should never leave hope because miracles do happen.

A 106-year-old woman Anandibai Patil, defeated coronavirus and survived after recovery. 

A Mumbai based Anandibai was discharged after COVID recovery from Savlaram Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) COVID Hospital. She thanked the entire team of KDMC and seemed happy. Meanwhile, Maharashtra remains the top worst-hit state by COVID.

Here’s what happened?

Anandibai Patil (106) is a resident of Dombivli West. Upon testing positive for COVID19, many hospitals in the locality were not able to admit her due to the age. However, the team from Mhatre Sports Complex- a Municipal COVID-19 dedicated hospital- was able to offer her treatment.

The founder of One Rupee Clinic, Dr Rahul Ghule admitted her at the hospital on Sept. 13, and due to her speedy recovery, she was discharged in just 7 days. Dr Ghule congratulated and appreciated the whole team for their efforts. 

The team has also received the appreciation from Maharashtra Cabinet Minister, Aaditya Thackeray through a tweet.
